Cristina moved back to Stuart in 2010 with her son Jack, at which time she became involved in the plight of our local waterways as one of the moms of the River Kidz. Her activism continued with River Kidz and River Warriors, and escalated in 2018 during the Lake Okeechobee discharges when toxins from Cyanobacteria blooms started sickening the dogs in our community. She became passionate about plastic pollution in 2017 and co-founded TC Trash Art.
In addition, Cristina serves on the City of Stuart Community Redevelopment Board.
